3 tips for choosing the best produce

So how do you pick fruit that tastes good–and is good for you? Is there any way to speed up the ripening process? Health and nutrition counselor Fran Benedict gives you the inside scoop on finding the best quality fruit possible here.

In summary she says look at color, feel and smell.  If you’re not going to eat something right away, buy it “green” and eat produce when it’s ripe.  This is when it’s at its nutritional peak and don’t forget you can never eat enough green leafy vegetables!
