No Glutes = No Results

February 25, 2010

Coach Kelly Baggett discusses the importance of glute activation in fitness and athletics.  She says “The main difference between average athletes and good athletes is found in the functionality of the feet, as well as the strength, development, and function of the glute musculature. The glutes are mainly responsible for the horsepower factor.  You need strength but you need it in the right places. As mentioned, a problem many people have is they have imbalanced strength. The majority of the positives that come about due to increased strength in foundational exercises like the squat are due to the effect these exercises have on the glutes.” And this is just a sampling of what she will talk about in this article.
